1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Bibliocards website, mobile applications, and related services.
By using Bibliocards, you agree to these Terms and to our related policies, including our Privacy Policy and Child Safety page. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility and minimum age
You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age required by the laws of the place where you live to use the service lawfully, whichever is higher.
If you use Bibliocards on behalf of a business or other entity, you confirm that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
3. Accounts and account security
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity that happens under your account.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that are inaccurate, misleading, compromised, or used in violation of these Terms.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Bibliocards to abuse the service, other users, or third-party rights.
- harass, threaten, impersonate, scam, defraud, or exploit another person
- post unlawful, deceptive, infringing, hateful, violent, or sexually exploitative material
- attempt to scrape, reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or bypass the security of the service
- use Bibliocards for unauthorized commercial activity, spam, or automated misuse
- use the service in a way that endangers children, young adults, or any other person
5. User-generated content and listings
Bibliocards allows users to upload and share content such as photos, scans, descriptions, collection information, listings, messages, and other materials. That content is provided by users, not by Bibliocards.
You remain responsible for the content you submit. You represent that you have the rights, permissions, consents, and legal basis needed to upload, share, and make that content available through the service.
We do not claim ownership of your content. However, you grant Bibliocards a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, display, format, process, moderate, and remove your content as needed to operate, improve, secure, and enforce the service.
6. Intellectual property and third-party rights
Bibliocards, its branding, and the software that powers the service are owned by Bibliocards or its licensors and remain protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
User-uploaded visuals, photos, scans, and listings may involve third-party copyrights, trademarks, image rights, or other protections. You must not upload or reuse content if doing so would infringe the rights of another person or entity.
We may remove or restrict content upon notice or at our sole discretion where we believe there is a rights issue, safety issue, legal risk, or policy violation.
7. Private messages and safety review
Private messages are provided to help users communicate about collecting and trading activity. They are not a guarantee of privacy against lawful review, moderation, or safety actions.
If we receive a report, detect signs of abuse, believe there is a safety risk, or need to investigate a serious policy violation, we may review reported private messages when necessary. The protection of children and young adults is a priority in how we apply this rule.
8. Trades and user-to-user transactions
Bibliocards provides tools that help users discover, discuss, and organize trades or similar user-to-user exchanges. Bibliocards is not the seller, buyer, broker, escrow provider, shipper, warehouse, expert, or contracting party to any transaction between users.
Users are solely responsible for their trade decisions, communications, addresses, shipments, payment arrangements, item condition descriptions, authenticity assessments, and compliance with local laws.
Bibliocards does not guarantee that any trade will be completed, honored, delivered, lawful, authentic, or free from dispute.
9. Moderation and enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and take action that we consider appropriate to protect users, the service, and third parties.

- pause or block trades, messages, or features where abuse, fraud, or safety concerns exist

10. Third-party services and links
Bibliocards may link to or integrate with third-party websites, payment providers, social login providers, analytics tools, and other external services. We are not responsible for third-party services, their content, or their policies.
11. Availability, disclaimers, and no warranty
Bibliocards is provided on an as available basis. We may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue features at any time.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, successful trade outcomes, content accuracy, or the authenticity, quality, legality, or safety of user content or user transactions.
12. Limitation of liability and indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bibliocards will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from user content, user conduct, trades, shipping issues, fraud, or service interruptions.
You agree to indemnify and hold Bibliocards harmless from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your content, your trades, your misuse of the service, or your violation of these Terms or third-party rights.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply under the laws of your place of residence.
If a dispute arises, we encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally. If that is not possible, disputes may be brought before the competent courts determined under applicable law.
14. Changes to the service or these terms
We may update the service and these Terms from time to time. When we make material updates, we may revise the effective date and publish the updated version on this page.
Your continued use of Bibliocards after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
